Here are a few more examples of my work.
In all cases, I did the original designs and the HTML, CSS and JavaScripting, delivering completed sites to these owners except where indicated. Click any thumbnail for a larger view of the work. And thanks for looking!

Simon-Kucher is the world's leading pricing specialists. If you have a product or service and you're not sure what the market will bear, SKP can deliver your answer. Headquartered in Bonn, Germany, the company found that its web presence was nearly invisible and that their old site design paled in comparison with competitors.
Their goal was to make the site more visually appealing while communicating at a glance that they knew a lot about a lot of different industries, that they had offices around the world and their capabilities extended into sales, marketing and execution.
It was equally important to SKP to have a site that was easy to maintain in different languages to reflect their global locations. I installed a Movable Type content management system which allows them to quickly add new content, update existing site pages and maintain disparate site versions under one single on-line login. Eash "site" functions as its own blog, so that articles and pages can be added to single sites or to every site under the SKP umbrella.
The Savvy Source is the web's leading site for parents of toddlers and small children to find preschool ratings, book and toy reviews, seasonal camp and class information, and literally everything a new parent needs to raise their kids. An ad-driven site, it was important for them to be able to insert ads from a variety of sources into their wealth of content easily, but without detriment to the content itself. Using a combination of MooTools effects, a web-standardized 3-column layout and a bright new color palette, I designed the site, coded the templates, refreshed the logo and helped them increase traffic by 40%.
Giant Ant came to me to code the site they had designed, but there were several catches laying in wait. They were very specific about how the site should look and react, including the use of very large, non-scrolling background images, transparency for the main content background and a floating navigation scheme. Put all together, it was a nearly impossible goal -- but it was accomplished using some creative CSS and judicious use of transparent PNGs.
DJ Snuggy Thugg needed a site that was easy for him to update, looked self-contained and easy to parse, and was visually interesting but offered an interactive streaming musical applet that could remain in-place while the rest of the site changed. Once again, ere was a client needing a very particular set of rules for their site, but they also wanted it to be easy for them to update with very limited knowledge of HTML and certainly no CSS capability. The result is an entire site living on a single HTML page, with the content changing using Prototype and Rico. There's limited space for text, but that was never the point for this audiocentric DJ.
Pacific Moon Bath & Body is a small company offering handmade soaps and bath products. The epitome of a small business, they had a very limited budget and almost no web experience or know-how in-house. I helped the company set up the shopping cart to accept on-line orders, and designed the site to be easily altered without expert hands.
Ning is Netscape-founder Marc Andreessen's newest company. Combining blogs, video, reviews, forums and other applications under one semi-pliable interface, Ning allows its registered users to create their own versions of many popular sites for dating, restaurant reviews, video blogging and more in store.
This project, again under the gun, required the creation of a series of interfaces taking the Ning application and skinning for a series of media companies for a presentation. I completed six sets of four screen mock-ups in 10 days.
I am unable to display much of my work due to contractual limitations, but I have worked with, among others, Charles Schwab & Co., Discover Card, BLOCKBUSTER Entertainment, TIAA CREF, Clearchannel, Vail Resorts and Wynn Las Vegas. I've done copywriting, design, implementation and consulting for projects varying from consumer profile database maintenance to email marketing campaigns.
I hope you've seen a broad range of styles in the samples above. I pride myself on my ability to conform to client needs and requests easily, and to complete the assignments on time and often under budget. Please contact me with questions and inquiries.
